Before and After the Storm : Photoshop manipulation
Inspired by one hell of a storm last night and from visiting all the great locations and creators on this weeks Xstreet Round Up, a quick photoshop rework.
Original image was taken over at Vintage village, a great place to take photos, explore and enjoy the creative work of the talented Oriolus Oliva. The place is full of textural details and as soon as I spied the lighthouse I knew I wanted to try to create a stormy image back in Photoshop.

(The far left photo is the original snapshot taken inworld) First I added a colour overlay to make the colours pop more, then brightened the light with a simple lens flare, faded a little so as not to make it so obvious.
The rain effect was created using a fibre filter and then overlaid and I reduced the opacity a bit until I was happy….added a few sprays and rain drops using some brushes I found over at LMSD called Cosmic Photoshop Brushes. Faded the edges and that completed my Big Storm!

Many thanks to Oriolus for creating such a fantastic village and for the inspiration.
