Colour trend: Turquoise
Turquoise, teal, sea-blue and aqua have always been some of my favourite colours, they are extremely versatile so I was happy to find an article saying that Turquoise has been selected as the color of 2010 by Pantone.
Turquoise is a positive colour and works well in both fashion and interiors. With both warm and cool undertones, turquoise compliments many other colours. Take, for example, the bright mix of reds and pinks with a splash of vivid turquoise shown here at mudshake
In fashion, turquoise can look elegant in silk or as an accent, bright and lively. It can also add a kick to neutrals and browns.
And because it is so versatile turquoise is great colour for jewellery, lampshades, hair accessories, corsages and handbags, even birdhouses! The birds are by HappyMood (a place I highly recommend you visit – visually it is a treat)
Not forgetting of course turquoise is a reflective colour, seen in a tranquil ocean surrounding a tropical island…..

………or a sandy cove with a gentle sea.
So if you crave some freshness in the new year create something with turquoise…..and to start you on your way check out our new texture pack Country Garden a great mix of turquoise, neutrals, pinks and blacks.
